![]() -Having to adjust graphics settings which isn't always straightforward as it should be or automatic.-Difficulty going from the game to UI and back.-Having Windows interface pop up into the game - mid-game without wanting it to do so.-Having my sound not working upon launch randomly. ![]() -Some games don't have everything accessible by a standard controller so you have to pull up a keyboard for some things.Sometimes I have to become a tech off the job. -Unexpected crashing/graphics issues being more common.-Controller(I use xbone) doesn't work if the game has already been launched, i have to have it launched prior or worse configure it prior in some cases. The last point is compounded it they ask you in a pop up that minimises the game like with Gamepass PC's request for access every time you start a game for the first time. Launchers that ask you the same thing for every new install/initial launch, or try to install Direct X when you have the latest version and it takes ages for it to process, etc. Mouse acceleration with no in-game options to tweak or turn off. Menus being designed for controllers with M&KB PC refinements often ignored. Launchers opening other launchers to launch a game. I know you can't do this on console, but it is much more annoying next to M&KB. Not being able to remap gamepad controls. Especially when you can't access the options menu until the tutorial is over. Gameplay starting before the options screen is a massive one, so annoying. Most of the big ones have been mentioned for me: I shouldn't have to quit a game by using ALT-F4.įor console games these things do not matter as much as they have less settings to deal with, but with the rise of performance and quality modes it may affect consoles more as players may want to set a certain mode before starting the game. Even worse when quit game returns you to the "press start" screen before returning you the main menu. Can't recall other games that do this but I believe more Ubisoft games did this.Īnother thing I absolutely hate is not having a quit to desktop option, I hate being returned to the main menu only to exit the game from there. AC Syndicate even started the game at max settings and 4k, which my then 980 did not like very much). I remember this happening in older AC games (remember it happening in AC Black Flag and AC Syndicate). Granted, options for graphics can be set in the Take2 launcher, beforehand, but it still annoys me. Upon launching the game, it immediately starts the game, skipping the main menu entirely. After finishing Guardians of the Galaxy I dug through my backlog and decided to play Mafia 3, as I only played a small part of it before.
